Scott Bartow’s professional journey started in health care and moved toward management and entrepreneurship. This background, combined with his desire to help people, eventually led him to a career in financial planning.
Scott holds insurance licenses in multiple states and is an Investment Adviser Representative, allowing him to manage stock/bond portfolios. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in health care management and a Master of Business Administration. He is trained in Social Security planning, is Six Sigma certified and has a certificate in financial planning from Old Dominion University.
As an advisor, Scott focuses on risk management and uses a disciplined approach, blending his knowledge of investments with the specific needs of individuals and families. He uses his teaching experience to provide financial education for everyone with whom he works. Scott believes in transparency and disclosure, and that everyone should know where their money is, what the costs are and what their expectations are for the future.
Scot and his wife live in Hampton Roads and have a blended family of five children. Scott is active in his community, serving on various boards and participating in many activities. He enjoys staying active and has many hobbies, including motorcycles, bicycling, cooking and traveling, to name a few.
